Thayer Central FBLA Kicks Off the Year
The Thayer Central
Future Business Leaders of America recently elected their officers
for the 2008-09 school year. They are: President—Kelsey Loontjer;
Vice President—Jenica Jarchow; Secretary—Andrew Craig;
Treasurer—Andrea Kriesel; Reporter—Whitney Pfingsten;
Parliamentarian—Joseph Doughery; Historian—Jessica Dutton.
Six officers and their advisor attended the FBLA Fall Leadership
Conference on September 23rd in Kearney. The FLC is a one day
workshop held at two sites across Nebraska. The conference is
designed to train local officers to share information on Nebraska
FBLA activities and to provide a significant “Kick off” for a
successful FBLA program. At the 2008 conference, the keynote
speaker was Jonathan Sprinkles. His presentation was called “Never,
Never, Never Give Up”! The state officers also announced the
2008-09 state goals. The FBLA officers that attended were Kelsey
Loontjer, Andrew Craig, Andrea Kriesel, Whitney Pfingsten, Joseph
Dougherty, Jessica Dutton, and Advisor Chris Schropfer.
