Ketteman, a children's book author will be visiting the Thayer
Central Elementary School on Wednesday, October
22nd.
Helen Ketteman is the author of nineteen picture books. Her books range in age from preschool through fourth or 5th graders who may be studying tall tales in school.

Students have the opportunity to purchase books for autographing whenever we host an author visit. Media Specialist, Betty Meyer, has included information on Helen Ketteman's books in the elementary Friday Folders. It gives information on the books and how to purchase them. You can get them ahead of time or the day of the visit. The students always enjoy getting their books autographed by the author.
Hosting an author visit is very exciting for everyone involved. A well-spoken author shares the experience of the writing process with students who then become more excited about reading and writing.
