Walk Wednesdays

Thayer Central Elementary  have started Walk Wednesday again. Every Wednesday, weather permitting students can meet at the courthouse at 7:50 a.m. and  walk to school together.  Along with students from grades kindergarten through 6 th grades, there are high school and junior high helpers plus a few teachers who walk with the students to both schools.   This is a great way to encourage our students to  be involved with healthy and active activities.   The next walk Wednesday will be September 17 th .  To participate, students need a permission slip on file at the office. In some areas many children have been hospitalized. We are beginning to see children admitted with similar symptoms in Nebraska.
