The second grade classes were happy to have the first field trip of this spring! They went to the Hastings Museum. There, they got to watch an iMaxx movie about the conservation of animals in North America, specifically Sandhill Cranes, prairie dogs, and the Humpback Chub. Then they had their lunches and got to tour the exhibits. Next, the classes took turns going into the planetarium to learn about the planets, moon and sun, and learning the history about Kool-aid. The students even got to make their own individual baggies to take home! It was a fun day engaging in lots of science activities!
