The Thayer Central 5th and 6th grade students put on a wonderful production of “Summer Camp: A musical caper about finding a place to belong” on Tuesday, March 22nd. This show involved dancing bugs, a joke-telling bear, a camper who loved tying knots, parade announcers, spiders shooting silly string, spooky ghost stories, and many other hijinks! Students learned 9 choreographed songs to go along with the play. Some of our very own 5th grade dancers choreographed a scene involving dancing ladybugs! Students had to audition for speaking roles and solos and put in extra time on their own memorizing lines. We are so proud of all of our operetta participants! They truly gave it their best effort and it was a fantastic show!
