Rising STARS welcomed Mr. Rick Souerdyke from Nebraska Game and Parks into the classrooms this week. He brought his knowledge of animals and taught us about Nebraska habitats and wildlife. It fit into our reading unit of habitats wonderfully! Thanks Mr. Souerdyke!

💙💛Day 2 of the State FFA Convention was GREAT! We started with more 🎶 We had the opportunity to listen to our governor Jim Pillen, toured a Freight Farm. Learned they produce 31lbs of produce in week! 🥬 kids had great opportunities to talk to colleges & get free stuff💛💙
💙💛Thayer Central FFA had a great first day at State Convention with a tour at Classic Dairy 🐮🥛went behind the scenes at the Lincoln Childrens Zoo 🐅🐒🦒and at opening session 🎵🎶💛💙
Spring is in the air, and Easter is on its way! Second grade and Kindergarten partnered up to color, cut, fold, and create their own baskets, and even got a little surprise inside!
Grades 6-8 were off to Davenport for the Middle School Health Fair organized by Thayer County Health Services.
