Elementary Newsletter 10/6/22

The Thayer Central JHFB team finished up their season on Monday, October 3rd. As their coaches, we would like to thank all of the 18 players who worked hard in all of our practices and games. We would also like to thank all of the parents and families for all of their support during our season.
The coaches and team would also like to say thank you to the VanSkiver family for having all of us over to their house for a team and family get together and meal before our first game. We would also like to thank Perry Gunn and 81 Express for feeding us after our Superior game and the McLaughlin family for feeding us after our EMF game.
We would also like to thank Busted Lens photography for all of the great action shots taken during our season. Also thank you to Ryan Waters for taking our individual and team pictures after our season.

Applying to college can be a stressful. With the help of their Life Skills teachers, seniors were asked to apply to at least one college and some applied to several. The annual tradition of signing the Apply2College banner was held, and then seniors enjoyed a catered lunch to celebrate.

SENCAP Health Academy students attended a Health Careers Fair. Juniors and seniors got to not only hear about careers in the field, but also got to get some hands-on-experience.



Titan Junior High runners finish their season at Syracuse. Those finishing in the top 20 were: Joah Anderson finished 10th, Emiliano Hernandes finished 17th. Each runner improved their time and ran well!

Good Luck To These Members Of The Thayer County Thunder Football Team From Thayer Central Elementary School! They Will Play For The Championship This Sunday!

Congrats to Adam L for medaling at a very competitive cross country meet in Syracuse on Friday.

We had 6 seniors attend Cornerstone Bank’s Career in Ag Day in York today! Positive reviews were given and we will definitely be taking more kids next year!!!

Mrs. Eickman’s Life Skills class learns how to change a tire every year. Today some groups took advantage of a nice day to practice.
