December was lots of fun in 3rd grade! Singing at the Assisted Living, Hot Chocolate during reading class, Christmas socks, Christmas Dinner together in our classroom, Games with the High School kids,and making a paper chain for the lobby!
Life Skills seniors looked at expenses incurred with having children. They competed in a baby products price guessing game and then raced to see who could change and swaddle a "baby" the fastest.

We Wanted To Provide Our Community With Several Reminders As We Move Into The Holiday Break.
**Our last day of school is Thursday, December 21 and we will release students at 3:45, (Regular Dismissal).
**School offices will be closed from Friday, December 22 through Tuesday, January 2.
**The NSAA Moratorium for Activities will be Saturday, December 23 through Wednesday, December 27. (No Competitions or Practices)
**All staff will report to work on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
**Students will return for their first day of school after the break on Thursday, January 4.

Thayer Central's National Honor Society hosted a Jingle Bell Walk for all students K-12. Students walked in the halls jingling change while listening to Christmas music. All money raised today will go to the Youth Advisory Council for the Willard Park project. #OneSchoolOneFamily
Mrs. Bulin's Geometry class made origami octagon-stars to finish up their chapter before Christmas break.
The HS students performed their Christmas songs to the assisted living residents this holiday season.

Students in Intro to Business created food truck companies and presented them today to staff and students.
They were required to have a vision board, a food pricing sheet, a formal menu and their actual truck.

The NSAA has established a new honor this year, the Champions for Coaches Award. This is to honor active coaches who go above and beyond for their kids and communities. One coach from each of the 24 Sanctioned Sports and 5 Sanctioned Activities will be honored during the state basketball tournament.

The 2nd graders celebrated with a GREEK DINNER PARTY to end their Greek Myths Unit. Olives, grapes, pita chips, & grape juice were a few of the treats they enjoyed. Cheers to 2023! Best to all in 2024!
