To celebrate Read Across America, Mrs. Long's students worked on retelling their favorite book with these retell it headbands. The front side showed their favorite book and on the reverse side students wrote a summary.

Thayer Central Schools will be starting at 10AM on Wednesday, March 5. Dismissal time will shift to 3:45pm. There is no preschool scheduled for tomorrow. Thank you and have a safe evening.
Due to extreme wind and dangerous driving conditions for buses and students; school will dismiss at 2pm today. Elementary will begin the dismissal process at 1:50. There will be no PM Preschool and no after school practices or activities. Thank you!

After learning about what is raised on a farm and how it makes it to the dinner table, these Kindergartners put their muscles to work & made homemade butter!
They thought the butter was good, but they thought the buttermilk was even better!!
Thank you to our senior cheerleaders, Halsey and Cami, for your four years of dedication to the sport and our school.
Second grade wrapped up their unit on Westward Expansion by getting crafty. We made paper quilts where each patch reflected key events from the 1850s.
We also made milk carton covered wagons. Earlier in the unit, Ranger Doug presented the Buffalo Trunk and taught us how Native Americans used the buffalo. Second grade had a blast traveling back in time!
