The Youth Boys Basketball Camp will be held June 3 and 4 (K-2nd from 1:00-2:00; 3rd-6th from 2:00-3:30). Please return forms to the office by May 7th. Cost is $30, which includes a camp T-Shirt.

Thayer Central SkillsUSA competed in the State Leadership Conference April 11-13 in Grand Island. Finishing in the top three in their event were....Hayden Taylor 2nd in Bridge Building, Mackenzie Hergott 2nd in Job Skill Demo, and Extemporaneous Speech, Carson McLaughlin, Laken Wiedel, Murphy Sudbeck, and Brady Degenhardt 3rd in quiz Bowl, Caitlyn Mitchell 3rd and Deklann Daharsh 2nd in Job Skill Demo A. Maddox VanSkiver 2nd in the middle school division of job skill demo A, while Sonia Heinrichs got 3rd and Nora Peithman got 1st in the open division. Colin Huber, Liam Bowman, and Brenden Kunc placed 3rd in Team Engineering Challenge, while Peyton Hubl, Jaxson Bowers, and Aiden Degenhardt got 1st. Elle Sudbeck, Christian Krupicka, Taivry Virus and Jadyn Bowman got third in health knowledge Bowl. Taivry Virus won the CPR/First Aid contest, Aydrian Meyer won extemporaneous speech, and got second in pin design. Delainey Mumm won prepared speech and Aiden Degenhardt won Extemporaneous Speech. All first place winners earned the right to represent our school and our state at the national level in Atlanta, Georgia this summer. Mrs. Kowalski's Kindergarten class turned into a pizzeria today!! The students created their pizzas using different shapes we have learned about this year!! I think we have some future chefs on our hands!!
Mrs. Long's 2nd graders celebrated Week of the Young Child with a new theme each day. On Music Monday we made kazoos. We made apple nachos for Tasty Tuesday. Work Together Wednesday had us using teamwork to make forts. The class favorite was on Artsy Thursday when we made fluffy slime. For Family Friday students brought an item to represent their family. It was a great week!

4th graders were working hard to pick up and make the outside of our school look as nice as the inside.
Congratulations to Piper Havel for extending her Long jump record to 17'-04.75" and winning the event at the Smith Center Relays.

These junior high students took advantage of the nice day and students gone to activities to do some community service. They went to the Presbyterian Church to pick up sticks, rake leaves and pull weeds. They were treated to Gatorade and snacks for their hard work.
