The TCVB Team is excited to help the youth "serve" up smiles, skills and success on and off the court. The youth camp will be on August 1st and 2nd. Please return forms to the office by Monday, May 13th.


Come hear some great music Tuesday at the HS Pops Concert! Come early to have a snack and check out the art silent auction! Music kicks off at 7:00 with tasty treats before or after.

Christian and Bradley were awarded 1st and 2nd place respectively in the Fairbury Elks Most Outstanding Student Competition. Both will receive college scholarships from the Fairbury Elks Lodge.

No Afternoon Preschool for Thayer Central, May 6. Sorry this didn't get included in the original announcement.

Due to the extreme severe weather forecasted to hit the Thayer County area during regular dismissal hours, Thayer Central Community Schools will dismiss at 2:30PM this afternoon. Bus routes will run immediately after school. If any parent feels more comfortable picking up their own children before that time, please do so. Parents who are making special arrangements for their children are asked to contact the school with any special instructions. All evening activities will be postponed due to the potential for high winds, severe thunderstorms and potential tornado activity. Again, School will dismiss at 2:30 today because of the severe weather warnings.

TC juniors Kara, Libby, Halle and Adam were honored by the Fairbury Elks Lodge for their academic success. Seniors Christian, Bradley, Ella and Tara were also recognized but unable to attend due to Baccalaureate.


We will celebrate our students academic success on Monday, May 6th at 7pm in the Event Center. We are watching tomorrow's weather and will make a decision on this event after tomorrow's weather webinar. We will make a decision for the safety of our students, staff and parents.

Congratulations to Leah Havel for breaking the JH 200 M record with a time of 27.62!!
Also a big congrats to the JH boys who finished as runners up!

Thank you to Sonic in Concordia for providing us a cool sweet treat on the way home from Rolling Hills Zoo in Salina, KS. It was the perfect way to cap a perfect trip.





Senior Life Skills class covers many different skills beside career readiness They have planned and prepared a meal, looked into renting and buying a home, and they sewed on buttons and mended a small holes . Seniors are preparing for life.

The Thayer Central Athletics and Activities Awards Night will begin at 7:00 tonight (Friday) in the Titan Event Center. Enter through the High School doors. A meal will be provided to student honorees beginning at 6:15 in the cafeteria.


Congrats to the Golf Team for an excellent day at Sutton for the SNC Tournament. The team finished in 3rd place. Jedric earned Runner-up individually!
