The Thayer Central JHFB team finished up their season on Monday, October 2nd. We were very fortunate to have a group of 25 players that continued to work hard every day and each one of them all were better players by the end of our season. We would like to thank all of our players for working hard every day and making adjustments when we had to throughout the season. We would also like to thank all of our players' families for all of their support during the season. A HUGE thanks to our parents who provided meals for our players and coaches after both of our away games this season. Another HUGE thanks to Perry Gunn and 81 Express for providing breakfast to our players and coaches after our Friday morning practices. We would also like to thank our High School coaching staff for giving us great ideas and encouragement during our season. We are hoping that the big group of 8th graders will continue to work hard and improve every day when they are a part of our high school football team next year. We are also looking forward to having a big group of 7th graders returning next year to our Jr. High football team.

Yesterday was surgery day in first grade! 🩺We started our day by a demonstration of the digestive system using crackers. Next, we made a model of the lungs to show inhale and exhale. 🫁We had special guests, Dr. Heinrichs and Dr. Myers come visit and talk to us about their jobs. 🥼The afternoon was spent rotating to different organs and solving math problems. 🧠🫀

Mrs. Eickman's SCC Careers class had Brandy VanDeWalle from our neighboring 4-H Extension come in and test our kids on their Personality Colors. It has been an interesting week learning what makes these students tick and how they can work with each other.
