The Rising STARS afternoon enjoyed having Mrs. Souerdyke, the beekeeper, come and talk to us about bees. She taught us how she cares for the bees and why bees are important for our environment.

Congrats to Liliana Watson who set the JH Triple Jump record in just her third meet doing the event! She had an awesome jump of 31’3 1/4”!

The 2nd graders enjoyed a trip to the Hastings Museum. Highlights of their trip were a 3D IMAX butterfly movie, the Planetarium, and the Nature Nook. They were amazed by all the exhibits.




On Friday, Thayer Central hosted their Athletic and Activities Banquet. The evening concluded with the Coronation of Sports Queen and King. Congratulations to this year's Queen Natalie and King Nate!

Christian and Bradley were awarded 1st and 2nd place respectively in the Fairbury Elks Most Outstanding Student Competition. Both will receive college scholarships from the Fairbury Elks Lodge.
