The high seas have never looked more beautiful....or been so smart! We're sailing through our adventure to earn as many books as possible for our students, and we're having fun along the way. Today, we announced the winner of the iPad! Congratulations, Olive Lemke Koch!
Not only are we earning amazing books, but the student with the highest contributions in each grade level will earn a $100 Book Blast shopping spree. Contributions can still be made until Friday, April 21st.

The kindergarten class has been working on 3-D shapes in math. They got to build their own 3-D shapes out of marshmallows and toothpicks. We then discussed what shapes we see in buildings. It was a fun (and yummy) way to make our own "building".
Good luck to HS music students as they perform at District Music Contest in Fairbury on Thursday and Friday! On Wednesday at 3:45 we are holding a recital for small groups in the vocal music room and the public is welcome to attend!

Officers and the banquet committee have been working hard on the finishing touches for banquet Friday. Plates are $12 each with members eating for free and Labor Auction buyers eat for $6. Please let Mrs. Eickman know if you plan to attend!

ACTION! 🎬 The first grade finished their CKLA knowledge unit on Fairy Tales. They performed readers theatre for the kindergarten class today. The fairy tales shared were: Rumpelstiltskin, Hansel and Gretel and Jack and the Beanstalk. They had a wonderful captivated audience!

SCHEDULE CHANGE: There Will Be No School For Students At Thayer Central Community Schools On Thursday, May 11th. This Schedule Change Is To Accommodate Thayer Central Community Schools Hosting The District Track Meet.
Congratulations to Piper Havel on breaking another school record yesterday at the Deshler track meet. Piper ran the 100m in 12.74 seconds breaking the old mark of 12.84 seconds.
Congratulations to these athletes for achieving 40 personal bests at the Smith Center and Deshler track meets this week. Very proud of these athletes. Not all are pictured since they were at State Skills USA
Well, today was the day! 🦋 We ended up with 5 butterflies. They were well loved and of course we had to give them names! 😉 It was fun to learn about the lifecycle of a butterfly. Today, we set our butterflies free!
Best way to celebrate after a successful NSCAS science test is to race boats in the Regatta. Tremendous job on the test and boats 5th grade. Special shout out to Dakota for winning! #titanway
